We collect personal information to enable the church to keep in touch with you and provide pastoral support as appropriate.

Data Protection legislation allows us to process this information as we regard it as being in the church’s legitimate interest.

Your name and contact details will be entered into our church database which is held on the church office computer which is password protected and accessed only by the Pastors, Church Secretary and Church Administrator. Your contact details can be removed from the database at any time at your request. Personal data of Church Partners, regular attenders and those receiving pastoral support will be destroyed 18 months after the individual has ceased to be a Partner, has stopped attending church or is no longer receiving pastoral support.

To enable us to provide adequate pastoral support to you and your family, one of the pastoral team may record information which may be regarded as sensitive. This information will be stored (in password protected documents) on the church computer but the password will only be known by the pastoral team. This information will NOT be disclosed to anyone else without your consent. However if this information has a safeguarding implication, then it may be shared in line with our Safeguarding Policy.

You have the right to ask to see any information we hold about you (including the pastoral support information) by submitting a ‘Subject Access Request’ to the Church Secretary. You also have the right to ask for information which you believe to be incorrect to be rectified.

If you are concerned about the way your information is being handled please speak to our Data Protection Trustee. If you are still unhappy you have the right to complain (see Complaints Policy) or contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Resources

We believe that City Life Church has been called to be a provider of resources in a number of ways.

One way we can honour this it to allow anyone to download any part or all of our policies for use in your own organisations. Our church policies are regularly updated and free to use. Please do bear in mind that they are provided at the user’s own risk and should be adapted to each individual need.  Please note the  small print below.
