Global Community

At City Life Church we firmly believe that we need to maintain a focus beyond our church and Truro.  We support and partner with a variety of different agencies and organisations working in the UK and overseas.

We also believe that it is our place, when God calls, to send people.

This usually involves individuals or groups serving locally or overseas. One of our congregation, served with Youth With A Mission in North America another in Asia.
We sent a team to Kenya to visit Tumaini Kwa Watoto’s work with Street Children in July 2014 and in 2023 raised funds to build a home in Kenya for a large family.

Tumaini Kwa Watoto

Tumaini Kwa Watoto (Children of Hope in swahili)

is a charity that operates a family based outreach empowerment and foster care program aimed at orphans and vulnerable children, especially those living on the streets of Nairobi, Kenya.
They seek to rescue these children from the streets, reunite, reconcile and restore them with their families and/or place them in a foster family and be involved in the process of restoring them and their families to reach their full potential.

The Baptist Union

As part of being a member of the Baptist family we support the work of BMS financially and we are linked to missionaries serving in Asia.  In the UK we support the work of Home Mission. This maintains the on-going regional and national ministries of the Baptist Union and helps Baptist churches and individuals to reach their mission potential and bring the love of God to their communities.

BMS World Mission

BMS World Mission

BMS takes the good news of Jesus to places where it’s never been known.

BMS workers and partners strive every day to make Jesus known and share the full life he brings. From legal work to surgery, food projects to education, BMS works with local partners, providing help where it is most needed, among the most marginalised and least evangelised people in the world.
BMS supporters deliver practical help to people in desperate circumstances.

BMS Home Mission

BMS Home Mission

In the UK we support the work of Home Mission.
This maintains the on-going regional and national ministries of the Baptist Union and helps Baptist churches and individuals to reach their mission potential and bring the love of God to their communities.

We also believe that we need to pray and campaign in an informed way about issues of justice and poverty in our world.

Our love for the world extends beyond people and includes the planet. For this reason we seek to maintain a positive environmentally friendly outlook and attitude, and have signed up as a Fair Trade Church.
